The Magic Box – Japanese traditional style storytelling session
Age: 4 to 10 years
Language: English
Storyteller Shraddha will be telling the stories ‘Tuntuni’ and ‘We are different’.
These stories will be told using Kamishibai storytelling, a Japanese traditional style of storytelling. The word ‘kami’ means ‘paper’ and ‘shibai’ means ‘drama’. So during a Kamishibai performance, the teller uses a ‘butai’ or a ‘theatre’ to reveal story cards and the story unfolds in the form of a ‘paper drama’.
