Cath’s whole life has been about books. As a librarian, teacher, editor, community gardener (vegetable storytime anyone?) literacy tutor and now an author, she aims to inspire a love of books in everyone.
As a child, her fascination with story was encouraged by a wonderful English teacher and author (Margaret Storey) local librarians and an amazing children’s bookshop (The Lion and the Unicorn) where authors met their fans.
Cath enjoys sharing her own stories with children of all ages in bookshops, libraries and schools. She loves that her stories make people laugh. They are most often described as quirky. As a late reader herself, she particularly enjoys helping those who struggle with literacy to discover the joy of reading and story.
She offers creative writing workshops and author visits.
When not writing she grows mutant vegetables on a windy allotment overlooking the sea in Kent.
