Swami’s days are full of action. When he is not creating a mess in the classroom, or making blunders in his exams, he is adventuring down the streets of Malgudi. He is either troubling his grandmother or stoning the school windows after being inspired by a swadeshi demonstration! But the greatest stunt Swami and his friends have to pull off is putting together a cricket team called the Malgudi Cricket Club and challenging the Young Men’s Union to a match. Although they gather a team, things go horribly wrong just before the match. This makes Swami with no other option than running away from home, wanting never to come back again.
