In “The Troll”, Julia Donaldson blends two classic tales—the story of a troll guarding a bridge, and a group of pirates searching for treasure. The troll in this story isn’t very successful in catching goats, so he decides to take a break and go on a culinary adventure. Meanwhile, a band of pirates is also on a quest to find buried treasure, but their paths soon cross in unexpected ways. With lots of humor and clever twists, “The Troll” is a fun and engaging story that will keep young readers entertained.
